From Sydney to Canberra

[Charlie's note:  we traveled from Sydney to Canberra on 30 April.]
Today we made the journey from Sydney to Canberra by bus. Canberra is very different from Sydney. Sydney is a big city with tall buildings, reminiscent of New York City, Canberra on the other hand is not a big city with skyscrapers. Canberra is the capitol of Australia, and thus revolves around governmental ongoings. There is a large emphasis on the importance of the people being involved in the government, and the entire city is planed out and a lot of details in the city; such as the location of streets and the way certain buildings line up are meaningful. Once in Canberra we had our first quiz, and all of us were quickly reminded that we were indeed still enrolled in a class at Elmira College :) It does not seem like you are going to class when your day consists of going to a zoo or taking a walk through a rainforest! One thing that is definitely true though is that whether I remember that this is a class or not I learn a lot everyday.
